Join us this April for an artist's reception of Meaningful Masterpieces by local elementary students!

The students in Mrs. Gendreau, Miss T and Ms. Leveque's classrooms are part of our special education programming at George H. Mitchell Elementary. They receive a high level of support to participate in their school day in meaningful ways.

While in art, students in these programs have the support of additional adults, alternative and augmentative communication devices, visual supports, structured routines with sensory breaks embedded into their schedule.

The students are encouraged in exploring art materials, being hands on and creative. Students are allowed to create art at their own pace to help ensure that their work is truly theirs.

Meaningful Masterpieces will remain on display in the Flora T. Little Art Gallery through the month of April.
